Auberge de l`Ill lost 1 star

The new Michelin Guide was released and 3 Restaurants with 3 Michelin stars lost one. Auberge de l´Ill in Alsace, Astrance in Paris and Marc Veyrat. Since I live very close to the Auberge this news made big headlines. The Haeberlins, owners of the Auberge, were awarded with 3 stars for 51 years. Rumors say that the new Michelin chief needed some attention and the Auberge was one of the victims. Maybe also the fact played a role that the Restaurant still serves traditional French cuisine with lots of Foie Gras etc. Creativity was certainly not the main goal of the chef. However: People who visited the place recently told the quality was fine as ever and no change could be discovered. Go figure.
