Speaking of KC, does anybody have any good recs for hotels in or near the downtown area that are kinda medium expensive, and near a lot of the eating places/attractions?
I usually stay at Hotel Philips myself. Old historic hotel completely remodeled. Nice bar. Walking distance to many restaurants. Prices are reasonable for downtown in my opinion.

This is also pretty new:
Lots of the best restaurants are a few blocks away from this one - Rieger, Extra Virgin, Novel, Corvino Supper Club and the new Farina should all be pretty much walking distance.
