Cabot Vineyards- Something old, something new

Warm up your credit cards and come on in, as here is where you will find all the BerserkerDay offers - open to EVERYONE who loves wine. Apologize to your spouse or significant other ahead of time. #BD12

Forum rules
Not 'Rules', necessarily, but here's how BerserkerDay goes:

I'll be launching offers in groups of 8-10, in increments of 30 minutes. Sponsors will stay pegged at the top of the forum all day, each new group of offers will come in at the top with them for their launch grouping, cycling into the 'normal' thread after their launch time has passed, with a new launch group posted atop the thread thereafter. Discussion is encouraged, as posting replies moves the thread up to the top of the grouping, whether that is during launch time group or the 'regular' forum.

Keep checking in every 30 minutes for new offers being posted, and keep scrolling down to see everything that has been launched throughout the timeframe in which you've been on the forum, which hopefully is ALL DAY

Amy R wrote: January 27th, 2021, 1:10 pm Dang! Got me with the aged Syrah's. First time buyer so really cool to see these older vintages come up! Just curious...for anyone who cares to answer...which wine and/or vintage should be drunk first? Which years could still use ageing? Thanks & cheers!
Thank you for the order Amy. I'd say the 07 and 08 are peaking. I'd drink them up. The 09 Kimberly's is remarkably primary and young tasting. The 12 Marier is peaking I feel too. The 12 Kimberly's will age another 5-7 years at least depending on what you're looking for out of it. It has nice fruit, spice, and some meat now but will gain more complexity and turn into more of a Northern Rhone style as it ages more.
Hope this helps and I hope you enjoy the wines. [berserker.gif]

John Cabot wrote: January 27th, 2021, 10:07 am Thank you guys for the orders! And I want to make perfectly clear that we have a no questions asked replacement policy. If you're not pleased with a particular bottle, if it's corked or flawed in any way we will replace it. A lot of these wines are over 10 years old and are subject to flaw from cork closure. Please don't hesitate to email me directly. I want the opportunity to replace it. This includes bottles from the past that you've had that were flawed. Please don't be shy. Now is the time to hit me up. [thankyou.gif]

Can confirm! John replaced a bottle of mine a few years ago - seemed like it came from the bottom of the barrel. Sent a replacement in the next shipment! flirtysmile

Many thanks to John for extending the offer! His aged Syrahs are quite good. I am getting a six pack of those. Also getting a sixer of Newbie Syrah to hide away.

Purchased an aged syrah six pack on BD, came back for the aged Zin six pack yesterday. Thanks so much for participating (and keeping the offer alive)! Can't wait to try the wines.

Received my order late last week. They are impatiently resting for a couple weeks now ... thanks, John! [cheers.gif]

Mine was. Perhaps it makes a difference that I live in CA, and therefore have much better shipping temps?
