Forum rules
Forum rules
Not 'Rules', necessarily, but here's how BerserkerDay goes:

I'll be launching offers in groups of 8-10, in increments of 30 minutes. Sponsors will stay pegged at the top of the forum all day, each new group of offers will come in at the top with them for their launch grouping, cycling into the 'normal' thread after their launch time has passed, with a new launch group posted atop the thread thereafter. Discussion is encouraged, as posting replies moves the thread up to the top of the grouping, whether that is during launch time group or the 'regular' forum.

Keep checking in every 30 minutes for new offers being posted, and keep scrolling down to see everything that has been launched throughout the timeframe in which you've been on the forum, which hopefully is ALL DAY

I sent a mail/replied to the confirmation, but had the same issue yesterday, if you could fix mine up as well. Thanks!

Jason and Siun, I issued the shipping refund to both of you. I've checked the code and it appears to be active. It works on the majority, but there are a few that for some reason it slips through.

My apologies newhere

Hi Nola - The mackerel says $48 for 6 above in the BD offer, but the website has $60 when I click through. Which is correct?

Thanks!

The 60 is correct. All the seafood saw an increase in price from the produce as well as ocean freight.

UPDATE VELETA GOURMETS / IT’S ARRIVED SHIPPING

#163 Post by Nola Palomar »

I FINALLY received my shipment from Spain late last week. It has been inventoried and all is well! I have been working like Mad Dog McCree to get it all packaged and ready to ship. I’m shipping out the orders as quickly as I can.
Any orders with the 2021 EVOO will be shipped in a second batch as I have to bottle and label it first.

Photo of some of the current batch of orders (in progress) prepared and ready for shipping labels!!

If you ordered the 2021 extra-virgin olive oil, I just finished bottling 900+ bottles yesterday. I don’t have an automated bottling line to do this, it’s a four head vacuum filling station and a one head manuel ROPP capper. I still have to label them which is also a small manuel set up. I am hoping to have enough labeled to start shipping early to mid this coming week.
What was shipped out recently, were orders pending either sherry vinegar or the tuna, sardines, Ventresca, muscles or caballa.
In the end, I am really trying to get everything shipped out as quickly as possible. Hugs everyone!!

I just saw your question, so sorry for the delayed response. UPS alerted me a few days ago that my shipment was on the way.

My delivery is tomorrow on the sampler. My plan is to sample a can of tuna on crackers or bruchetta then plan a paella to include much of the other ingredients. My local fresh seafood/shellfish supplier had a truck breakdown that he drove from Puget Sound every couple of weeks, so hopefully that gets fixed.

Thanks for all the hard work Nola, very excited to try all of this.

Received my shipment on Friday, thanks Nola! OMG the tinned seafood is so addictive. I've already powered through 2 of the white tuna, 2 of the mussels and 1 of the mackeral. Thank God those tins are only 4oz, if they were 20oz I'd prob still eat the whole thing in one sitting!

OK now for the important request, does someone want to share a Paella recipe? Sure I could google it but I figured you guys have it dialed in already. Seeing Shawn's pics above is inspiring me to give it a whirl next weekend.

The trip must have been a bit chilly for the oil as there is a bit of the solidified oil on the inside of the container when I finished bottling. I collected some of it and am keeping it in the refrigerator to keep it solidified. I’ve tried it on toast and as a garnish on top of sautéed fish.... that is a yummy bite!!

The shipping roll-out is continuing. I got confirmation of my 2021 Veleta Extra Virgin Olive Oil & Sherry Vinegar Combo shipment today. Looking forward to its arrival!

    It is indeed rolling.
I had a little set back in my plans this week as my dad need some of Nola too. He’ll be 88 this next month and has some dementia. Anyway it took a couple of full days away from my rollout this week.

Everyone who got or will get a shipping notice today, tomorrow or Sunday, will depart the warehouse on Monday. I do not like to ship out on Friday’s as it gets checked in and sits in a truck all weekend anyway.

I just want to thank everyone for their support and patience! I will keep the BD12 offers open for another couple of days and then I will close them.

Everything departed today. I may have an aberrant one here or there, but if you received a shipping notice, it is now on the way!

My package arrived today. So exciting to see these goodies now in my kitchen.
The packaging was well done too - everything fit into the box like Nola and Nolita were playing Tetris with cans of tuna, and bottles of olive oil.
Minimal amount of packaging - no wasted space - everything secure.

    Nola - Thank you.

I now hope Santo Tomas will look favorably on my next pan of paella.

Mine arrived a few hours ago, and after a short chill, I had to pop a Vijiriega. It is as lovely as I recall from the earlier vintages you shared in Chicago, Nola. [cheers.gif]

And we’re heading to Minneapolis to see Macalester College. She’s having a really hard time deciding. I couldn’t have agreed to go if I did not have the shipments done.

Glad you got them out! Have fun in Minneapolis--I lived there for a few years. Macalester is a pretty good place, as I recall. And the upper midwest could use a bit of Spanish paprika, no? champagne.gif flirtysmile

I’m glad it got there. I have a box that didn’t make it out of Ohio that I have to re-ship when I get back home!!

Such a lovely box of goodness! All packed so carefully too. Seeing my daughter's family tomorrow - bringing them their tuna and sardines and we'll have a Nolada to drink as we celebrate all being vaccinated!
