Dirty and Rowdy 6 Pack + Interactive WB Tasting

Since its inception, Wine Berserkers has championed the small producer in the wine industry, as well as other small businesses related to wine (gourmet foods, wine accessories, etc) and now our friends in the wine industry who own small businesses have been presented with a great burden during the mandatory closures of wineries and bars. In the spirit of Wine Berserkers, and the shadow of BerserkerDay, let's show our support and help our friends in this industry, supporting them with our business.

This forum will be open to all small businesses in the wine industry. Tentatively we'll close it in 2 weeks, but let's see how things go...

Dirty and Rowdy 6 Pack + Interactive WB Tasting

#1 Post by H Wallace Jr » March 16th, 2020, 11:49 am

Huge thanks to the WB mods and members for putting this together.

For many of us, our issues over the next weeks (months?) will not be a lack of wine. Instead it may be that we need connection and want new experiences that extend beyond our small circles of family and loved ones.

On Sunday, 3/29 at 2PM PST, we will host an interactive tasting for WB board members. We will get together online, face to face, taste, laugh, and raise collective spirts.

We will taste through 3 Dirty and Rowdy vineyard designate Mourvèdre from radically different vineyards

2018 Shake Ridge Ranch Mourvèdre
Amador County- Volcanic and Granitic Soils

2018 Rodnick Farm Mourvèdre
Chalone AVA- Limestone and Granite

2018 Enz Vineyard Old Vine Mourvèdre
100 Year Old Vines, Own Rooted, Limestone and Granite

I have put together a 6 pack of these wines which includes ground shipping in the lower 48. The 6 pack includes 2 bottles of each wine (one to taste along with on 3/28 and one for later).

I will send the tasting link and further instructions to everyone that purchases the 6r.

WB LIVE MOURVÈDRE 6 PACK $282 -> https://www.dirtyandrowdy.com/store/det ... ive-6-pack

I look forward to seeing you on 3/28.

PS- I recommend getting orders in ASAP to ensure delivery.

Cool! I’ll do a sixer, but may be too hot to ship to FL. Can you hold until it cools, even if that means fall? Sorry, but global warming .... :)

BRILLIANT idea on the interactive tasting!!! Definitely post details - I want to join!

I may have to appear slightly drunk with a bretty Beaucastel and Bandol handy, while the virus and global warming limit my shipping options to Florida!

Hardy,

There are multiple Zoom apps available. Which is the correct one to join the tastings?

In for a pack. And the Zoom is here https://zoom.us/. Love the Zoom idea. My friends and I have started Zoom happy hours as we are locked down the next 3 weeks in SF.

Yes- https://zoom.us is the tool we will use. I will send out the link and more info at the end of the week.

One important note, ideally everyone will want to have a set of good headphones or speakers attached to their computer. We have a special guest joining us that you definitely want to tune in to. (This is going to be very very cool)

Thanks John and David- This is going to be a great event. We just finished our first rehearsal for this Saturday's tasting (which is just 1 wine vs. the 3 for the WB pack) and we are totally psyched.

Just took the dive and ordered a six pack! Looking forward to it!

Quick question: Is it on Sunday the 29 or Saturday the 28th? I see both dates in the post.

Yay! We ordered yesterday too -- but in Seattle, so assume it will arrive by Sunday. Looking forward to this. More wineries should consider doing something similar. A great way to introduce people to your wines; engage socially; and perhaps get some new long term customers!

Just to clarify some confusion with the dates.

The Berserker Event is Sunday, 3/29 at 2PM Pacific.
Here is the link to register
https://zoom.us/meeting/register/upQkf- ... YObgDdbZ9w

There is an Enz / Outer Limits tasting Saturday 3/28 that went out to the entire mailing list- (this is what the screenshots are from above)
https://zoom.us/meeting/register/upQkf- ... YObgDdbZ9w

The Enz / Outer Limits tasting will have about 100 people and the Berserker tasting 25 so far.

Greetings and Important Update-

Last night, we found out that FedEx had delays with shipping this week. Almost half of the orders for this Sunday’s WineBerserker interactive tasting will not arrive until Monday.

We worked with our warehouse and with FedEx to upgrade all pending shipments, but they can only be upgraded once they reach your local hub, which for most, will be too late.

With such a high # of orders not arriving, we would like to change the date to Sunday 4/5 at 2PM PDT.

I apologize for the reschedule and hope the new date works for everyone. If it does not, please reach out to me directly and we will do what it takes to make you happy.

Our Saturday 3/28, non-Berserker tasting is still on with close to 100 participants registered. That tasting will go through the 2018 Enz Vineyard Old Vine Mourvèdre and the 2018 Outer Limits Mourvèdre (which is not in the Berserker pack).

Thanks for the understanding. These are abnormal times and we are striving to make the best from them

Cheers,
Hardy

PS- The positive is that if you live in CA, and haven't ordered, you can still get the wines for 4/5.
