Do customers still have to go out and obtain their own ABRA permit to use the tasting room, or has that changed?

That's my cold-weather unitard, Jeb. The honeymoon version was much more revealing.

Would be nice if ABRA got their crap together and allowed drinking in tasting room again without forms, applications and hullabaloo

My understanding is that no one has received a "Tasting Permit" from ABRA because they've never actually issued one to a private collector so the regulators don't know what to do or what to issue.

DC DOMAINE IS BACK IN ACTION. I'M IN THE TASTING ROOM RIGHT NOW AND IT'S A TOTAL FREAK FEST. I'M PORONING GC WHITE BURG LIKE IT'S NOBODY'S BUSINESS. GET HERE BEFORE THE ALARMS TURN ON AT 10PM.

Yes and yes. Was in there today and there were a few people enjoying older Napa cab. Really nice to try an ‘82 Dunn HM (tired), 89 Opus One ( on Fire) and a ‘94 Dalla Valle Maya (spectacular).
Bobby
Re: Domaine Wine Storage - DC Thread

Re: Domaine Wine Storage - DC Thread
Anyone heading to the Margaux tasting at Domaine today? Opening a few older bottles (including an '82) to celebrate life.
Bobby
Re: Domaine Wine Storage - DC Thread
My astral projection will be there, Bobby. Thanks for the head's up (chest up, eyes up, prayed up, as they say). I can stay late to finish bottles, since my astral body is not limited by physical barriers liked locked tasting room doors. My astral body cannot grasp stemware, which may pose a problem.

Great event the other day! Good to see so many familiar faces. I though the Margaux showed really well but the ‘05 Ramonet Montrachet was simply spectacular. Happy to open up some more of those at the offline next week.

Joe, that's a great idea!!! I'll swing by Domaine later today to start the planning process. Also will pull some of my older Dominus stash and do some "selective sampling" to ensure quality is in line with expectations. I'll be in the tasting room later this afternoon if anyone wants to see how the 80s Dominus is holding up.

Noah, lunch just opened up for me and I'm now planning on a quick bite downtown in the G-Town area. Available to meet Milano at 12:30? Chef set aside a bottle of the '04 Conterno Monfortino (riserva), which pairs beuatifully with gnocchi and mondays!

Re: Domaine Wine Storage - DC Thread
Great to hear Alicia! A strong addition to the tasting for sure. In addition to the Jamet vertical, I'll be adding three bottles I won from Noah (thank you Patriots for yet another Super Bowl!!!). Yeah they are too young to open but why not share the spoils of war with the gang? Also not sure where I would store the big boy as storage has become an issue. Who is taking responsibility for the suckling pig? Joe still on that?

Have we done Gentaz vs Noel Verset yet this year?
I can probably bring most of 1991-2006 with the Verset.
Bobby?

F- Noah you're going to drain my stores! I literally only have 3 bottles of the Gentaz Cote Brune left......but I'm not closing the door just yet. If you egt Art to bring his mag of '91 Chave, I'll bring my '91 Gentaz.

Interesting weekend, for sure. Who would have thought a '85 groth reserve mag would taste like "100 points", while a '97 Harlan tasted like Sherwin Williams.
