Joe's just going to spill it on his pants anyway, bring whatever you want neener

I have 0 Beaujo in my cellar, drank all my lapierre, so I'm just going with the standard couple bottles of something that doesn't suck.

Anyone want food? I'm planning to go by weygandts beforehand anyway, can pick up some Fat Pete's or something.

Swung bye yesterday to pick up some stuff, likely out today. Ran into a uber-melinneal wine blogger while I was there.

Some of you maniacs have pallets of wine to put away. Good luck with that; hire an intern.

State run liquor? I know. Terrible.
In Pittsburgh, everyone looks like this. Mostly because the wine selection is so crappy.

Hi DCers. I just opened a wine locker at Domaine as I "cashed out for credit" from that reliable and honest wine store known as Premier Cru and needed a place to store a bunch of cases that would not fit in my wine cellar. As I get down to DC (from the Philly area) every few months, I thought that Domaine's DC location was the way to go. Perhaps I can join some of you good people in drinking some vino?

Warmly, Chris

In this thread (http://www.wineberserkers.com/forum/vie ... t=colorado ), Kyle from the CO wine promotion board offered up the chance to taste some Colorado wines. I jumped for the chance to try the Rhone-ish ones. I just received a package from him of a Viognier, 3 Syrahs, and a red blend. In the spirit in which they were offered, I thought that it would be cool to have as many people as possible taste them as possible. This Saturday is out (already going to DC Brau holiday market), but if anyone has interest I could bring them down Dec 5.

I'm smoking a brisket overnight Thursday, and probably some salmon or other fish after that, so I'll bring some of both of those for Saturday...

Got the Domaine holiday BYO invite...it's for the evening of Dec 17th, a Thursday. Was hoping for Friday or Saturday to make it a weekend kick off but look forward to tasting the usual good stuff a day earlier.

I may come up this Saturday for a bit.

Sounds like there's enough interest to bring down the CO wines this Sat. And if there is smoked trout, I am definitely in. I can make it down around 1:30. Would appreciate someone's cell number so I can text to let me in and not bother the employees. If I have time, I'll try to put together some simple tasting sheets for the reds so that we can report back to Kyle.

I'll pop something else in the bag to round out a 6-pack.
