There is a lot of shrimp already, but the salt and pepper shrimp (you eat the shells) is the best I have ever eaten. I wish I could join you.
Must have the heads on them. Delicious.

We have a total of 25 people, so four total tables will work.

If it’s 24 people that’s exactly 3 tables

Apologies for being late to the party, but I'd love to attend if there is still room. Happy to join the Pinot table or go unthemed. Been drinking with Rodrigo and Julie recently and now all I can think about is attending more wine events!

I did my best to cross reference the various threads and think this is where we stand.

SQN Table - 7 or 8 people. Full?
Jay Hack
Mike R -
Dave S
Tom Rippe
Victor Hong
Michael and Laurie Greene
Gray G? - posted on the SQN thread but not on the general thread

Pinot/Unthemed Table 4 or 6 people.
Dan Hammer
CJ Savino
Dave Cohen
Isabelle
Rebecca?
Henrik

AFWE Table - 8 people, full
Jay Miller
Rodrigo -
T Gigante
Dale Williams
Julie C
Suzanne C + Kenny
Brent

People with apparently no chosen table. Perhaps an unthemed table of 6 here would work since filling up the Pinot table would leave us with 8 and 3.

Matt Citrang +1
+ two guests - who? whose guests?

Happy to sit at the Pinot table. Will bring some C Bouchard at the very least. But flexible nonetheless and defer to the organizers.

I accidentally put the AFWE table wines in the back so most are not visible. It really was an accident. I collected the tables one at a time and that was the third table I collected, so I stuck them behind the others.

Maybe an AFWE'er sipped an SQN, and developed high-alcohol tendencies.

Was great catching up with old faces and meeting new ones. Wines were almost as good as the company! Thanks Mike for overall organization/execution/planning/etc and to table leaders/captains as well. I greatly appreciate and am thankful for the time and energy spent pulling this off. The food, wine and people all showed wonderfully.
Only thing missing was some vintage port, I should have brought a bottle my apologizes.

Great dinner after so very long. Thank you, Mr. Reff.

I won't pick a WOTN as there were so many that I didn't get a chance to try. I would mention the 2011 SQN Syrah and the 15 Ultramarine bubbly. First time I've had their wine and I was impressed.

Including duck and other dishes, corkage, tax, and a 50% tip, you would have paid $60 per person. I washed the dishes to pay for that dinner (like every other night).

He wished it was closer to $80. The guy they let order didn't order enough food and he left hungry [swearing.gif]

Did some bring home your bottle of wine with them? Pretty impressive! I once had an unopened bottle liberated from me during a tasting but never had anyone take my open bottle home with them.

Looks that way.
I had asked Julie if she had a chance to have another taste of the PGC Etzel the next day to see if the greenies had resolved and if the wine was sound or not. It’s tough to give some bottles the air they may need at these events. Unfortunately someone had lifted the rest of the mag.

Suzanne- did you check with the restaurant to see if it was picked up by the staff? I know we all get attached to certain favorite opening devices.
Cheers,
Tony

I left with only leftover rice and duck bones which would otherwise have been tossed wastefully into the garbage.
