In with 06 Alpine
I'm in. Have an 07 Alpine that I can bring. I will see what other delites I can fish from the cellar. Going to need to start looking now. I used to laugh at those who tracked bottle locations in CT. Now I spend hours trying to find where that wine I want to drink is located. 1st world problems

Sean
The only wines I can locate quickly are the ones that I know I will specifically need for a theme event (Rhys, Ridge, one particular Burgundy vineyard), or for a particular person eg my brother's birth year wine. Those are all kept together. The vast majority of times I open wine, I just look randomly and grab what appeals.

It seems about the time where no further people will chime in and several will drop out so I expect 14 without having to say no to anyone.

I just found out about this - Wes forwarded me a link some time ago but it fell into the cracks. I haven't been on here in quite a while.
Alison and I may be interested if there's room. I think my only Rhys is a magnum of 06 Alpine, but I see that's already claimed.
Let me see what else I've got; I know I have some Windy Oaks, I think I've got an 09 Woodside, and I do have some Sarah's Vineyard stickies.

Dave, if you do attend, I can switch to another wine so you can bring your 06.

I only really started buying Rhys with the 2013 vintage, but I'd be happy to bring a 2013 Horseshoe Pinot, which was drinking beautifully last year.

I also have one bottle of 2012 Bearwallow Pinot left that I could bring as well. Or go with a 2011 Mount Eden Chardonnay for bottle #2...

Oops, thought I had been more definitive. My bad. I am in if there is room. Looks like a choice from the menagerie- 06 Swan or 08 Bear. Also older Alesia for backup. Please let me know if there is room. I have really been looking forward to it. If not, another time.

I'm an out-of-towner who is coincidentally helping my freshman daughter with college move-in the next morning. I should be done with Bed Bath & Beyond trips by 9/17 dinnertime so would love to join you if you end up taking folks off the waitlist.[wow.gif] I have some older (and newer) Rhys so let me know what hole(s) I could fill.[cheers.gif]
Thanks,
Peter

PS In case anyone was wondering, my daughter will still be on her pre-orientation trip that night. So no, I'm not blowing her off for a night of Rhys. I'm just trying to get my head around the concept of an empty nest. [snort.gif]

Yes, but FYI you’re supposed to pose this type of question with some reference to playing golf with him, or hanging out in his hot tub.

Vote for 06 Swan.

I previously said I could bring an 06 Alpine, But I'd like to change that to 07 Alpine, since I have 2 of those, and would like to hang onto my few old bottles to see how they develop.

George, here's a summary of what I think everyone has committed to, all Pinot except Gene's Chard (a welcome, hopefully we'll have another white or two, Rhys or otherwise). I've changed mine to 2009 Horseshoe.

Daniel 2014 Alpine Hillside
Sean 2007 Alpine
Gene 2009 Horseshoe Chard
Dave Tong 2006 Alpine?
Andy 2013 Horseshoe, and/or 2012 Bearwallow
Ian 2006 Swan or 2008 Bearwallow
Craig 2009 Alpine
Alan 2009 Horseshoe
Wes 2008 Alpine
