Mike, is this something you do in one whirlwind weekend, or is this a continuing thing? I practically grew up at Totonno’s CI, but I’ve never been to Grimaldi’s or DiFara and I really want to try both. I’d also add Patsy’s in East Harlem to the list… 1st Ave and 118th, I think.
This is going to be spread among the seasons. Hopefully if it works right, every 3 or 4 weeks at minimal. A different place or two in a day. Totonnos and Grimaldis being in Brooklyn can be done within 3/4 hours tops.
Seperating food from wine is hard with this crowd and most pizza places are not receptive anyway, so speed and enjoyment should work hand in hand. Now what happens afterward in someones backyard with yet a third rendition of pizza is yet another story…
Although Bob Wood would frown on the amounts of Cab poured alongside…
