Our next event with our regular tasting group is Monday 28th in Hartford and we have room for at least 2 more people. The theme this time will be Italian Reds, with of course a Champagne to start. Would prefer to concentrate on Barolos Barbarescos and Brunellos ideally. As many Italian reds are a bit closed when young please ideally bring something at least somewhat aged. The locale will be Peppercorns at 6:30. They have agreed to the same generous corkage fee as in the past. We also lucked out AGAIN as it happens to be Restaurant week so there is a 3 course meal for $30.19 being offered as well as the regular menu. For anyone that wishes to arrive slightly early they also have some great Happy Hour specials. The only caveat is you must sit in the bar area. I will be there a little early and we can move to dining area for the dinner.
Many of us are regulars in the group but we often have guests, sometimes even from out of state, so please join us for great wine conversation and food. FYI for newbies although there is no minimum price range please bring the best you can. Generally we try to recommend a $50 and up value with some being much higher.
