Napa Valley Tasting/Wine Dinner - Sat Oct 27

Disclaimer - I'm chairing this event.

That being disclosed, letting the WB world know about a Tasting and Wine Dinner we're throwing at Congregation Beth Shalom in Napa, CA on Saturday, October 27th to celebrate Jewish Vintners in Napa.

The Tasting from 4-6 includes wineries like Diamond Creek, Quintessa, and Matthiasson.

The Wine Dinner from 6:30-9:30 includes all of the wineries and a dinner menu created by David Nayfeld of San Francisco's Che Fico, which is near impossible to get into.

L’CHAIM NAPA VALLEY, CELEBRATION OF JEWISH VINTNERS - RETURNS TO CONGREGATION BETH SHALOM OCTOBER 27th

ACCLAIMED CHEF DAVID NAYFELD OF San Francisco’s CHE FICO and 15 WINERIES FEATURED

The afternoon event is 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm with a walkaround wine tasting in CBS’s garden. Winemakers featuring those from Arkenstone, Art House, Castello di Amorosa, Coho, Covenant, Diamond Creek, Hagafen, Hard Six, Honig, Judd's Hill, Matthiasson, Miriam Alexander, Quintessa, Rock Creek, and Silver Trident will pour their favorite selections, paired with cheeses curated by Planet Cheese’s Janet Fletcher, the James Beard-Award-winning author. Entertainment for the afternoon will be provided by The Window Trio. Stemware provided by Gabriel-Glas.

At 6:30, in a separately ticketed event, guests will enjoy sparkling wine, then gather at winemaker-hosted tables for a three-course family-style dinner created by Chef Nayfeld of Che Fico, named one the ten best new restaurants of the year by Bon Appetit, in partnership with Israeli-born Chef Itamar Abramovitch of Napa’s Blossom Catering. Each table will feature the vintner/host’s favorite library selections or other difficult-to-find vintages. Entertainment for the dinner will be provided by Jealous Zelig.

CBS is a 501(c)3 and all net proceeds will help fund the Art Finkelstein Shorashim Fund, Camp Scholarships, and CBS' Youth programs.
