Please PM me if you wish to get added/removed to list; this will allow for consistent time stamping in case there is overage.
I defer to groups wishes on Champagne (please post below your preference or donation of a 10th bottle!)

For the Dec. 5 dinner, are we sticking to 07 vintage or earlier?

Yes, thank you for the reminder -- I re-inserted that language. Open to eliminating this requirement if people are so inclined, but my impression was folks preferred older vintages.Thomas Rippe wrote: ↑August 22nd, 2018, 7:50 pm For the Dec. 5 dinner, are we sticking to 07 vintage or earlier?

If you are serious... can squeeze one more in December... 2000 Bordeaux Left vs. Right bank "shoot out"?
You aren't signing up for any of these?

Re: NYC - Burgundy 1er Reds (12/5), GC Reds (12/13)
My cellar is mostly California. French = 14%
I have 3 bottles of Southern Rhone.
Half of my 18 bottles of Bordeaux are 375 sweeties.
I have several '05 and '06 750 reds.
I have 1 white. Maybe you've heard of this > 2006 Château Haut-Brion Blanc.

You can put me down for a 2011 Lignier Morey St. Denis 1er Cru for the 12/5 and a 1997 Ponsot Chappelle-Chambertin for 12/13.

Re: NYC - Burgundy 1er Reds (12/5), GC Reds (12/13)
And I can provide a Champagne for the other (as well as a Burg).
Edited: I'll bring a Champagne for the 1er Cru event, either a Comtes or a Winston Churchill if the latter has arrived by then.
My wine will probably be a Mongeard-Mugneret Vougeot Les Cras 1er Cru 2001 unless i open it before then in which case I'll pull something else.
Ripe fruit isn't necessarily a flaw.

Hi Greg, the theme on 12/5 has different villages. Is it possible to change that bottle to keep with the theme?

Although I am not the OP, it appears there is room at both events, as he is maxing out at 9, and both seem below that numberDale Williams wrote: ↑September 9th, 2018, 6:19 pm Interested in both of these. Sorry, looks like I doublebooked 12/13, need to withdraw.
For 12/5 how about '02 Hudelot-Noellat Beaumonts Vosne, or 02 Fourrier Petits Vougeot? Or if we have a place with flat corkage I could bring a pair of Pommard Rugiens (91 JM Bouley, 99 M Gaunoux, or should have some de Courcels)

Really sorry to pull out, but 12/5 turned out to be only workable night for an annual event.
If you end up with a short table, I'm happy to send an on theme wine to make up for my absence- sure I could get to Jay.

Re: NYC - Burgundy 1er Reds (12/5), GC Reds (12/13)
Will do Sutton Inn for 12/13. They will offer their pri fixe menu (which will seasonally change by then), plus two additional red meat entrees, sides, and charcuterie/cheese for $111 per person.
For 12/5, want to give folks the option:
- Do the Sutton Inn proposal for $111/person
- Do the Little Frog for $90/person [details outlined in the "Burgundy QPR Thread"], but I think we only get a private room if we have more people

Hi, if there is room I am interested in the 12/13 GC Burg Dinner. I am of the same sentiment as Dale..... to wait till others do and try to come up with good flightmates

Yes, unfortunately I can't make the 13th either; I won't be back in NYC until the following week. Sorry to miss it.
Neils Bohr had a horseshoe over the door to his country house. A visiting student said to him: "you don't believe in that, do you?" Bohr replied, "of course not," and added, "but you don't have to believe in it for it to work."

I regret to inform that I will be unable to attend the 12/5 dinner. Sorry about that that...hopefully this is enough notice to allow those on the waiting list to figure out their plans.
Thank you for the opportunity - I'm sure that I will be disappointed after hearing the recap of the wines/dinner.

I'm very sorry, but I just updated my calendar and realized that I inadvertantly scheduled 4 wine dinners in a row that week. I can't manage that so I'll have to bail on this (and postpone my Sherry dinner again).
And I just picked up the wine for this dinner two days ago

A Rubin Stein, just saw this. There is a spot, and I will add you. That said, your wine does not fit the theme -- is it possible for you to change it? I'm happy to try another wine, but would be proper to stay with the theme if possible.

Hi, two updates at my end
I will be bringing 2005 Louis Jadot Chapelle Chambertin.
Also unfortunately my friend had to cancel his Sydney to NY trip and can’t make it any longer. So it will just be me.

I’d prefer Quality Italian. I’ve done byob there before and it was fine. Preference is partially based on the more central location.
