Also Loren, I maybe in Thursday night for dinner. I am not sure yet what time I plan to leave Napa. Hope to have it figured out this weekend.
Anyone else who's interested in a Friday dinner please PM, with your email as well. Trying to put together a final plan for dinner.

Bill Gibbs wrote:Let's unify the RSVPs for all possible extracurricular activities:
Friday dinner
Sunday Wine Tour & tastings in Tin City
Sunday Saxum Cave Tour (if available)
Sunday winery recreation (ping pong & corn hole, if available)
Sunday BAGB dinner (Bring A Good Bottle)

The number choosing each of the activities will guide their details.
No reason for me to go begging if we have no interest a specific activity.
We (my wife can come) are leaving Sunday but could do earlier events.

Did you guys get in at Saxum? Saw some photos of a big party there at the front of HdR. That cave is super cool!

I could have if my wife did not have a huge company wide meeting out of state at the same time as HdR and she was on the calendar a full 6 months prior to HdR announcing they were getting the band back together. Bummed to have missed it this year but maybe in two years?

Great seeing some of you at the tastings at earlier today. I know the group was heading over to Linne Calodo and then to Saxum. I'm sure they got in - I believe Bill sells him fruit :-)

Andrea and I would like to express our appreciation to Bill for the tremendous effort he put in in organizing today's tastings and dinner. It was tremendous and required a huge amount of work on his part. Once again, thanks a million Bill.

A tremendous, totally enjoyable day, with the very best part not being the Saxum visit, but delicious "real thing" cassoulet, a beautiful view, and memorable wines at Bill's. Greatest thanks to you, Bill, for making it possible and making it happen. Like a third day of HdR in a little nicer setting than the Fairgrounds [dance-clap.gif]

Lisa, David, Isabella and I would express our gratitude for all of the work Bill put into Sunday. The four winery tastings at Tin City went off without a hitch, and presented many interesting wines and personalities. I think that Matt and Justin are two great leaders in the development of Paso Robles as a fine wine district, and they present unique and different interesting personalities. Bill it is always such a pleasure to visit your home on Hearthstone Vineyard. I suspect that in the future we should try to make your piece part of the introduction/beginning to the events of a weekend. There was a lot of exhaustion amongst the ranks.

I can only say that it was a real shame that both Andrew and Larry couldn't hang in there for what was definitely the highlight of the weekend. Larry, next time just plan on crashing on our couch!

After Sunday we ended up taking a ride to the coast and drinking beer for a day, and then finished our visit with extremely satisfying tastings at both Law and Tablas Creek! I look forward to seeing everyone again!

Cheers!

Matthew

Registered here to say thank you to Mike Stoneking for inviting my dad and I, and for Bill Gibbs for coordinating the tastings on Sunday. Very sorry that we were not able to stick around for dinner, but we are very grateful to have met everyone!

Any chance of these festivities taking place again? It truly was a blast two years ago.

I am sad to say that I will be out of town for HDR. It’s painful, but unavoidable. Have a great time.
