***EXTENDED*** Veleta Gourmets BD11 DEALS!! ***FREE SHIPPING

Warm up your credit cards and come on in, as here is where you will find all the BerserkerDay offers - open to EVERYONE who loves wine. Apologize to your spouse or significant other ahead of time. #BD11
Forum rules
Not 'Rules', necessarily, but here's how BerserkerDay goes:

I'll be launching offers in groups of 8-10, in increments of 30 minutes. Sponsors will stay pegged at the top of the forum all day, each new group of offers will come in at the top with them for their launch grouping, cycling into the 'normal' thread after their launch time has passed, with a new launch group posted atop the thread thereafter. Discussion is encouraged, as posting replies moves the thread up to the top of the grouping, whether that is during launch time group or the 'regular' forum.

Keep checking in every 30 minutes for new offers being posted, and keep scrolling down to see everything that has been launched throughout the timeframe in which you've been on the forum, which hopefully is ALL DAY

I still have some assorted foods left from last year's order but it's impossible to have too many Veleta sardines.

Hi Nola,

I'm just getting ready to place my LARGE order after last year introduction with the Elite pack. OMG that Ventresca is special - as is the olive oil which i ran out of in no-time. Just wanted a heads up on your Paella - Can you really teach me how to make a good one [scratch.gif] I have a daughter at University of Michigan and we go to a restaurant in Ann Arbor (Aventura) for spanish tapas and paella (made in many ways to emphasize protein preferences). I would love to wow her with one at home. The texture there is so spot on along with the flavor!

Anyway - thank you for bringing in such awesome products and good luck getting rid of these awful tariffs!

Bill

I may end up running out of the ventresca too. Fortunately I can order more!

Yes, I can help you make a great paella! I just invested in a stand and gas burner as I already had a couple of paella pans! The burners and stand are easy to order thru Amazon and I can guide you on which ones to get and ones to avoid.
I am making a big deal about the burner because of the completeness of heated surface. I seriously wished I had added this to my cookware years ago!

Thank you!!! You will NOT be disappointed. Spanish cooks can whip up something great out of some basic fundamentals. So the mussels can be thrown into a bowl of pasta and a little grated parm or manchego grated on top, the sardinillas are perfect out of the can, or if you want to toast a baguette (like in my video, slather some pizza sauce adorn the sardines and cover with olives of your choice and spinach then top with some mozzarella or other fresh cheese, then bake like a small pizza... all of the little cans are so usable!!

I am working on the orders, it will be within the next week or two. This year it’s just me doing the shipping. My daughter Ashley is in working a job with less flexibility.

Funny, I just went through my mail this AM to see if there was an update.

Can't hate us for wanting top shelf olive oil :D

Thanks for being transparent re: your shipping situation and know that (I am, at least) waiting patiently and looking forward to the shipment!
You can find me at the grill, but you’ll need to figure out the URL yourself! @akgrill

I am going to get as many out as quickly as possible. My evoo is coming in bulk and I am building a bottling facility in my warehouse. Floors are sealed, sink and back table are purchased, (needs Installed), bottle filling machine arrived on Monday, bottles and caps on order, and I am ordering the ROPP capper. Still have to get a few large utility carts. Waiting on Ohio Dept of Agriculture to get back with me on my labels and as soon as the install is done I will call them for FDA / USDA / ODA inspection.

My proceeds from Berserker Day has allowed me to do these modifications in order to stay in business with these crazy tariffs, so understand how much I appreciate you all and your support.

Update on Shipping and Olive oil project!

I have a big lot of orders almost ready to ship. I will try to get phase 1 out by this coming Monday. If the temps are good to go, I will try to get the wine orders not depending on the 2020 EVOO shipped out as well.

The bottling project is moving at a steady good pace. The oil is here. It is getting time to settle and is decanting in the totes. I just received my bottles today. ROPP capper is on the way. Caps have been selected and are pending samples to come so I can test with capper. I have found a labeling solution that is a lot more expensive than I had anticipated in my budget, but it will be much better in the long run. Boxes are being worked on by Dayton Corrugated. Warehouse floor has been sealed. Plumbing for the new sink is on schedule for the beginning of this coming week. I have some additional shelves to purchase yet and still need a couple more commercial stainless steel tables (I found a nice 10ft long one for the bottling line. Hopefully, I’ll be ready for inspection in a week or 10 days tops.
I have a great help from a friend and general contractor that can do everything from plumbing to electrical and I could not have even thought to do this without someone I trust. He is worth every penny I’ve paid him.
Which brings me to to topic of my heartfelt sincere appreciation for everyone who purchased on BD. The proceeds from the Veleta sales has enabled me to make this venture a reality.
I will post more photos when it’s all completed, but here is the oil and bottles!

Just a little video on toast!!
I made this using the white tuna instead of ventresca and it was delicious. Any recommendations for serving the mussels and mackerel?

Me too! I use the tuna also!

As for the mackerel, I love the loins right out of the can, but the Spaniards use it on top or next to a fresh garden salad. Anywhere you would use tuna. Try a lasagna with a nice bechamel, zucchini, eggplant and the mackerel instead.

The mussels, when Juan was a medical student he was very, very poor. He received a stipend with the equivalent of about $25/ month, sent it back home for his mother to live off of. He would type his notes from class and sell them to the American students and worked in a bar that gave him room and one meal. He would scrape together a few cents and a treat was to buy a can of mussels en escabeche. He would take a toasted baguette and make a sandwich drizzling the sauce over the bread. He would fix for me a plate of potato chips and serve an instant tapa. Or eat them straight out of the can. I have had them as the bite inside an empanada or with pasta, sauté some garlic and onion and when they are tender add the can of mussels blend well and serve with pasta of choice... lots of ways.

Yes, your Elite Selection has the 2020 EVOO so it won’t be ready until another 2-3 weeks. When I ship though I include the email address that is listed with the orders. I will keep everyone advised!!
