Hey Berserkers!
METRICK: First time offering in BD! I’m Alex Russan, I make Metrick wines from vineyards around CA–elegant & food friendly. Metrick is my grandmother’s maiden name. I’m based in Santa Barbara County and am better known for Alexander Jules, my biz barrel selecting sherries and importing Spanish wines. I also write about winemaking and wine science for WineMaker Magazine and more recently SevenFifty Daily.
OFFER: 3 packs (% off) and 6 packs (% off!) (plus tax & ship) on Chard and Mourvèdre, feel free to mix these two wines in your order
WINES:
• 2015 Mourvèdre, Futernick Vineyard, El Dorado: Normally $28, today $__ or $__! Sierra Foothills. Picked early like a rose, fermented on the skins like a red. Concrete aged. Bright berries surrounded by a little funk. Gamay-esque and great with a chill. Grown at 2800 in volcanic clay soils, which are usually dry farmed (including 2015). 12% abv.

• 2016 Chardonnay, Sierra Madre Vineyard, Santa Maria Valley: Normally $36, today $__ or $__! One of Santa Barbara County’s most historic vineyards! Wente clone Chard, 10 months sur lie, stainless aged. Chard for people that hate (typical CA) Chard: stone-y and clean. Sandy soils with a constant ocean breeze. Drink now through 2023. 12% abv.
