1st Year - Metrick - Elegant Mourvèdre "Rose" & Chard

#1 Post by Alex Russan » January 25th, 2019, 8:45 pm

Hey Berserkers!

METRICK: First time offering in BD! I'm Alex Russan, I make Metrick wines from vineyards around CA--elegant & food friendly. Metrick is my grandmother's maiden name. I'm based in Santa Barbara County and am better known for Alexander Jules, my biz barrel selecting sherries and importing Spanish wines. I also write about winemaking and wine science for WineMaker Magazine and more recently SevenFifty Daily.

OFFER: 3 packs (__% off) and 6 packs (__% off!) (plus tax & ship) on Chard and Mourvèdre, feel free to mix these two wines in your order

WINES:

2015 Mourvèdre, Futernick Vineyard, El Dorado: Normally $28, today $__ or $__! Sierra Foothills. Picked early like a rose, fermented on the skins like a red. Concrete aged. Bright berries surrounded by a little funk. Gamay-esque and great with a chill. Grown at 2800 in volcanic clay soils, which are usually dry farmed (including 2015). 12% abv.

2016 Chardonnay, Sierra Madre Vineyard, Santa Maria Valley: Normally $36, today $__ or $__! One of Santa Barbara County's most historic vineyards! Wente clone Chard, 10 months sur lie, stainless aged. Chard for people that hate (typical CA) Chard: stone-y and clean. Sandy soils with a constant ocean breeze. Drink now through 2023. 12% abv.

SHIPPING:
Calculated based on your address at check out.

Order at http://www.metrickwines.com/wine-shop-1, use COUPON CODE BDX3 for 3 packs, BDX6 for 6 packs!

Thank you! champagne.gif

n for six - sounds like my kind of California Chardonnay - look forward to trying them.
My avatar is a twelfth century Berserker Lewis rook, from the British Museum. "He stands armed with a sword and exposes his huge teeth with which he bites into his shield. It is this gesture that identifies him as a Berserker – a fierce warrior drawn from Norse mythology that bites his shield in a self-induced frenzy prior to battle."
