Wilde farm BD 10 - Sold Out!

#1 Post by loren.grossman » January 7th, 2019, 11:33 am

Berserkerday Day 10! What a long, strange trip it continues to be! champagne.gif

To further the celebration Wilde Farm offers 4 wines - 10 cases each - at 50% off. And this year we will even include free shipping with case purchases. [cheers.gif] Order by CLICKING HERE! No codes necessary. It will simply expire at the end of berserker day!

EDIT: We are now offering the-not-yet-offically-released 2016 Halcon Syrah (the 2015 is gone - thank you Grand Cru members!) And we have limited supply of others - the 10 original cases of each in the offer disappeared by 4PM yesterday - this is restocked with now 5 cases of each so regular berserkers can enjoy! The quantities available are noted by each wine offering. After that we will be officially sold out of this offer and I cannot reload! Good luck everyone. [cheers.gif]

For those not familiar with Wilde Farm: Wilde Farm is a small, family run winery based in Northern Sonoma. Our winemaker is Pax Mahle. Our wines tend to be a bit lower in alcohol, a bit higher in acid and generally made to go well with food. We use native yeasts, mostly whole cluster fermentation and neutral oak french barrique for elevage. We typically bottle without fining or filtration and minimal sulfur. We select from some of the best, cool climate vineyards in Sonoma and Mendocino - places that have a strong say in the flavor profiles of our wines. And we try to stay as true to that sense of place when we bottle as we can.

Feel free to mix and match. Again - when the wines run out the offers cease! To the wines:

2016 Wilde Farm Wines Donnelly Creek Vineyard Pinot Noir: From the Anderson Valley. 50% Whole Cluster fermentation on native yeasts, raised in neutral french oak barrique. 12.4% abv. "The 2016 Pinot Noir Donnelly Creek Vineyard is a very pretty, racy Pinot with a lovely core of bright red-toned fruit. Supple, racy and inviting, the 2016 is absolutely delicious today and should drink well for at least the next few years. Succulent red cherry and pomegranate fruit is pushed forward in this silky, inviting Pinot. The 50% whole clusters are nicely integrated into the wine's fabric." 92 Pts, VM Reg $40. 50% off = $20! SOLD OUT. Order by CLICKING HERE!

2016 Wilde Farm Wines Bedrock Vineyard Heritage: A field blend from some of the oldest vines to be found in the famed Sonoma Valley vineyard. Partial carbonic and native yeasts help bring the flavors of this vineyard to life. 13.2% abv. "The 2016 Heritage Red Bedrock Vineyard is a blend of 27 varieties all harvested and vinified together. Vinification with whole clusters done in cement and steel shows the brighter side of this site, where the wines tend to be much more powerful and brooding. There is a starkness and transparency to the Heritage wine that is quite intriguing." 91 Pts, VM Reg $38. 50% off = $19! SOLD OUT Order by CLICKING HERE!

2016 Wilde Farm Wines Alder Springs Vineyard Chardonnay: From the most beautiful vineyard I have ever seen in Mendocino or anywhere else for that matter. Bonsai vine tending and pruning ensure beautiful, jewel like fruit. A foot treading, pressing and aged on the lees of the yeast with partial malo in neutral oak. Abv. of 12.4% "Transparent aromas of wet marble, petrichor and zesty citrus zest lead into flavors just as clean, fresh & bright. The mouth-feel is light and billowy with a streak of concentrated apple laced fruit; honeyed fig and mineral laden length that reveals a concentration & intensity that bode well for the future." Pax Mahle, winemaker (not reviewed by AG) Reg $38. 50% off = $19! 2 CASES REMAIN Order by CLICKING HERE!

2016 Wilde Farm Wines Halcon Vineyard Syrah: High up in the windswept Yorkville Highlands, the Halcon vineyard barely offers us up a ton of fruit per acre...but we are grateful for what we get. 100% syrah, 100% whole cluster and 100% delicious. "The 2015 Syrah Halcón Vineyard is the most distinctive wine in this range. Inky blue fruit, game, iron, chocolate, spice, new leather and black pepper all fill out the wine's dense, powerful frame. Dark and brooding, the 2015 Halcón possesses tremendous density while remaining faithful to the Wilde Farm house style. The 2015 was done with 100% whole clusters and aged in neutral oak." 93 Pts, VM Reg $40. 50% off = $20! 1 CASE REMAIN Order by CLICKING HERE!

Thank you for your interest and your support. We will try to keep an accurate tally going so folks know how close we are to running out. Best of luck and enjoy the day! Amy, Pax and Loren

The last few years, I have gone out of my way to buy something from the WF BD offer. The reasons are (i) because every wine I have ever opened from WF has been excellent; and (ii) every interaction I have had with the people of WF has been positive. This year, I am ordering the Heritage offer (even though I had decided to sit this BD out due to having too much wine). These wines are legit, and the people are great. Thank you, WF!
"Oh, bliss! Bliss and heaven! Oh, it was gorgeousness and gorgeosity made flesh. It was like a bird of rarest spun heaven metal or like silvery wine flowing in a spaceship, gravity all nonsense now. As I slooshied, I knew such lovely pictures!" ~Alex
