Alsatian wine tasting at Charlie Palmer at Bloomingdales - Saturday, September 5th

Please join us as we welcome Alsatian winegrower and maker Florian Beck-Hartweg to Southern California as we taste through his family’s line of organic, handcrafted wines. Since 1590, Florian’s ancestors have been cultivating vines in the hills of Dambach-la-Ville, France. The jewel of their property is the granite terrain of Frankstein, which has been designated Alsace Grand Cru AOC. Tanaro River Imports is proud to be the exclusive importer of these wines to the United States, and we invite you to meet Florian and sample his wines.

We will be be offering tastes of the following wines, which will also be paired with an assortment of hors d’oeuvres prepared by Chef Amar Santana of Charlie Palmer at Bloomingdales:

2007 Beck-Hartweg Pinot Gris Cuvee Prestige
2006 Beck-Hartweg Pinot Gris Grand Cru Frankstein
2006 Beck-Hartweg Riesling Cuvee Prestige
2007 Beck-Hartweg Riesling Grand Cru Frankstein
2007 Beck-Hartweg Gewurztraminer Cuvee de L’Ours
2006 Beck-Hartweg Gewurztraminer Grand Cru

And because no wine tasting can be complete without at least one (or two) reds, we are also including some wines from Tanaro’s Italian portfolio:

2007 Bindi Segardi Chianti Classico
2004 Germano Angelo Barolo

This wine and food event will take place on Saturday, September 5th, from 3:00-6:00 p.m. at Charlie Palmer at Bloomingdales. The cost is $30. Please RSVP to me if you plan on attending. Hope to see you there!
