Hey everyone,
I’m looking for a nice bottle of bordeaux, burgundy, rhone, rioja, brunello, barbaresco, barolo or something that has aged well for a 30th birthday gift. I’m looking for something around 100.
Thanks,
Seth

Any of the lopez de heredia wines
Gruaud Larose & Domaine de Chevalier Blanc are drinking well right now.
The best 1981 wine I have had (and with repeatable results) has been La Mission Haut Brion. The 81 to me is absolutely the perfectly aged Bordeaux. For a tough year, this wine shined. But you will have to spend $150-$190 a bottle I believe. But it is worth it in my opinion. Compared to what you can buy a new wine for these days, this might even be considered a bargain.
