WTB: Northern Rhône for newbie

I’m a West Coast Syrah whore, but now want to branch out. So I’m hoping some generous Berserkers have some bottles to sell of Northern Rhône Syrah to help me learn about the region. Mainly looking for some of the newer stars like Jamet, Clape, and Allemand, but also under the radar bottlings that are good representations of the region. Happy to pay over cost, but hoping to save a bit under retail. PM with offers, and I have plenty of positive reviews on CC.

Not sure I would classify Jamet, Clape, and Allemand as newer stars…

Pricey due to recent reviews? Like new artist Grammy to the third album of an artist?

Faury St Joseph Vielles Vignes is readily available, around $40, and a great intro to the region. Wine-Searcher has tons of listings for it. Or the standard St Joe is even cheaper and earlier drinking.

And to explore the other areas, Xavier Gerard (Cote Rotie) and Franck Balthazar (Cornas) are great options

As is Gilles.

Agreed, And Rouchier…tons of options out there to start out without laying out Chave/Allemand $

And A&E Verset Cornas.

Selling any more Tyler? [wink.gif]
