WTB: 1971 Birth Year Wines

#1 Post by Ross W »

I am looking for a few reasonably priced ($300 or less), well preserved 1971 wines for a birth year celebration for a friend. If you have any bottles you are willing to sell please let me know.
PM or e-mail is best. rossww@yahoo.com

I was born in 71. Oh what I would give for a bottle of 1971 Ridge Monte Bello! Good luck finding a 50 year old wine still drinking well under $300!

I need the same. There's a thread for this somewhere in wine talk. I recall reading that Rieslings may be a good option.

Envoyer occasionally has some 71 borolo under that price from cellars. You have to jump on them quick though. I've been able to snag a couple.

I have a 1972 Lafite, if anyone wants to get a jump on a present for someone celebrating the big 5-0 in 2022.
