How good are the BURGUNDY 2005s ?
Much ado about the 2005 Burgundy vintage when it appeared on the market. A Meadows considered the vintage to be among the greatest ever. 15 years later I wondered what the current opinion is. A friend of mine who recently tasted an ECHEZEAUX by Daniel Bocquenet (being a fan of the domaine) considered the wine to be “atypical”: too heavy, too much of everything…Since I haven’t touched the Bocquenet wines yet I did not put up a discussion. What about you lot? Any experiences with this much hyped vintage? Or is it too soon to pass judgement?
