Skip the CAs. Lousy vintage

dupe

Its my birth year, so I’m not ready to part with any of mine, but check in on chambers st wines and cellaraiders. pretty solid sources for back vintage Italian and French, respectively.

It seems to be a lousy vintage across many regions. Have you had any barolos from 88?

have had some really good Italians. Barolo, Barbaresco, and Brunello. If you have a little bit of cash to part with, I have seen a Pergole Torte or two pop up recently. that would be a bucket lister for me.

'88 Northern Rhones are very good…La La’s, Chave, Jamet all very good. Still have a few of each in the cellar.

88 champagne can be profound, Sauternes/barsac also wonderful. Good luck on the hunt
