Someone might be interested in my 8 Sparkys and need a price that is fair, to both me and the buyer. Buyer is not looking to resell.

I think the market for these is actually dropping. All of our local Total Wine stores have the 2014 Sparky magnum in stock for $899.00 a bottle, which I think is pretty close to mailing lists price. I remember seeing earlier vintages going for twice the release price, so factor those two as high and low.
Yeah, I know. I was thinking maybe $750, but even that may be too high.

'12 and '13 Old Sparky got WA100 scores. They’ll definitely be more demand from collectors than the '14 OS that “only” got a WA98.
$750 is more than fair if you’re selling to a buddy. Hopefully you owe him a favor, or he understands that $750 is below what the '12 and '13 hammer for at auction (based on a quick search of past online K&L auctions).
