2014 Saxum to share

Too many allocations and not enough dough. I want to share with friends on the boards. May be able to have shipped direct if they allow multiple orders, will have to check. $98btl. $196mag(FCFS).

2014 BROKEN STONES ($98)
41% Syrah, 19% Grenache, 16% Petite Sirah, 13% Mourvèdre, 8% Tempranillo, 3% Roussanne (15.7% alc.) 1100 cases produced.

"Up there with the great vintages of this cuvée, the 2014 Syrah Broken Stones offers incredible purity and elegance paired with blockbuster richness and depth. Giving up lots of sweet black raspberry fruit, crushed rock, a hint of chocolate and toasted spice, this beauty is full-bodied, unctuous and layered. I never find this cuvée to have quite as many layers as the other Syrahs, but this is beautiful. This is the only cuvée from Justin that comes from multiple vineyards.” (95-97+) eRobertparker.com, #226 Aug 2016

2014 PADEREWSKI VINEYARD ($98)
30% Mourvèdre, 22% Zinfandel, 13% Syrah, 13% Tempranillo, 12% Grenache, 10% Petite Sirah (15.9% alc.) 600 cases produced

"The 2014 Paderewski Vineyard comes from a warm site located high up off of Peachy Canyon Road… It offers sexy, full-bodied, broad, rounded and powerful notes of candy corn, black raspberry, chocolate and chalky minerality. The 2014s in general show concentrated, rich profiles as well as broad, supple tannins, and this has both in spades.” (95-97) eRobertparker.com, #226 Aug 2016

2014 BOOKER VINEYARD ($98)
68% Syrah, 32% Mourvèdre (15.1% alc.) 330 cases produced

"the 2014 Booker Vineyard is inky colored and downright unctuous, with tons of fruit, chalky minerality, full-bodied richness and no shortage of structure.” (97-99) eRobertparker.com, #226 Aug 2016

2014 TERRY HOAGE VINEYARD ($98)
48% Syrah, 30% Grenache, 22% Mourvèdre (15% alc.) 345 cases produced

"The 2014 Terry Hoage Vineyard, which is normally a Syrah-dominated blend incorporating smaller amounts of Grenache and Mourvèdre, comes from Jennifer and Terry Hoage’s estate vineyard located to the east of James Berry. It has lots of black fruits, cranberry, red plum and mint to go with a full-bodied, sappy, beautifully fresh and layered style on the palate. Changing every time I came back to the glass, with fabulous complexity, I think it will take a year or so for this to hit its stride, but it should evolve beautifully.” (97-99) eRobertparker.com, #226 Aug 2016
