On Preview Day when should we expect to see the list go live, and be closed.
Last year I was working late and missed nearly all of it as it closed only shortly after I got off work.

tnx
Preview Day/Early Purchase offers will be posted probably around 7:30 am Pacific...

we're just under 85 offers, and I'm probably capping at 85. That's still a huge amount, and I expect more traffic this year since Ed Murray (not the baseball player, the brilliant engineer who keeps this place afloat) tinkered with it enough to fix the private messaging system, and I"m able to notify everybody about it. Next year, I've already started working on hiring a PR firm to REALLY blow it up.

I always get a handful of last-minute entries, and I think I have saved room for only one or two more, so I'll be picky on what I let in. There's some CRAZY good offers already posted, with 50% discounts, free gifts with purchase (worth $36!), and raffles...

Todd or anybody,

We have a few rare vertical offerings which we would like to offer on the Early Purchase Forum January 26th.

How do we set that up? Do we just set up a second thread in the Pre-Launch Forum?

Grateful for the advice.

My wife asked if the 9 Weinboxes under the table are counted in the cellar. I said, "yes and they are affordable wines and I bought 100 less than last year." She said for the second time this week, "we have a storage problem!" [truce.gif]

In the past couple of years, I’ve found that I can do a tremendous amount of damage to my bank account on preview day with Berserker Businesses, so don’t count out Friday.

To non-subscribers viewing this thread, there have also been some offers that sold out on preview day, which is a great reason to pony up your $25 and subscribe.

I'm typically finished with the regular listings by 2 ish Pacific...plus, you'll see all of them as a Subscriber, knowing what you might not want to miss. You won't know the launch time, however, but I think you should be ok, depending on your time zone.

The auctions are INSANELY GOOD this year, so please save money for those!!!!

FYI, Preview Day and Early Purchase Offers will begin around 8am PST - a slight delay, only because I have 23 Subscribers whose accounts have not yet renewed (last minute, much??) and I have to manually change those after dropping Ella off at school. Once they are finished, I'll open up the floodgates

Preview is tomorrow right? And Saturday is the big day right? Is it T-2 then?

Yessir - you posted before I was able to change the title. I was busy removing Subscribers from their status - those who are last-minute-shoppers.

Preview Day/Early Purchase Offers is TOMORROW! Will launch around 8am because first I have to remove another 23 or so SUPER late Subscribers from their status right before launch. I'm so mean.

Guilty as charged for waiting until the last minute to renew.
Just paid for my renewal. That means you only have to remove 22.

Many are asking 'how do I know if I am a subscriber?' and 'can you please check for me?'

Best way to check is to either look at your posts - any of them - via computer browser (not mobile) and see if the red Subscriber flag is below it, like this:
Screen Shot 2018-01-25 at 10.36.17 AM.png
Screen Shot 2018-01-25 at 10.36.17 AM.png (24.72 KiB) Viewed 1128 times
If you are on a mobile browser, your username would appear in GRAY font if you were a Subscriber, versus BLUE for non-subscribers, like this:
fullsizeoutput_1776.jpeg
fullsizeoutput_1776.jpeg (30.57 KiB) Viewed 1128 times
Also, if you look at your User Control Panel, you can see which groups you are in, i.e. Subscribers

Lastly, if you've waited this long, I might not get to you in terms of adding you to the group. If you wait until tomorrow, good luck. neener

(if you are last minute today, and your email address doesn't match what's on your username profile, put in the notes what your username is, or, again, I might not get to it)

Pretty sure you will figure it out.......over and over.... and will keep checking to be sure you didn't miss anything. Friday will disrupt work, but is a bit "more relaxed". Saturday you will keep refreshing and jumping threads to be sure that you didn't miss something (like extreme dry aged steaks), and hoping that Citibank isn't calling youl champagne.gif champagne.gif
Just keep heading back to the Berserker Day Thread.

Saturday you will keep refreshing and jumping threads to be sure that you didn't miss something (like extreme dry aged steaks), and hoping that Citibank isn't calling youl champagne.gif champagne.gif
Just keep heading back to the Berserker Day Thread.
Wait until you see the Flannery offering. Katie is a Berserker!

You'll get a PhD in dead cow reading her post. Wild stuff in the offer and monstrous discounts.

It's good to be a Berserker.

Pretty sure you will figure it out.......over and over.... and will keep checking to be sure you didn't miss anything. Friday will disrupt work, but is a bit "more relaxed". Katie is not only a Berserker, she's a badass

BerserkerDay IX Master Thread/FAQ (Please Read) T MINUS 2 DAYS!

I just subscribed. If I have to wait until tomorrow to see the offerings, I'm ok with that as I've received hours of entertainment and education from reading the forums.

You are semi-local, I see - are you coming to Falltacular?

As for the hours of entertainment and education, you are about to find out just how expensive that entertainment and education will be.

I'm very local! I think Larry at Tercero was talking about that event when I stopped by his tasting room in Los Olivos in October. There were also a few other WB's in the tasting room which I found amazing! I will most definitely look into it!

Well, it sold out months ago...so you'll need to wait for next year, and get in as soon as he makes it public!

That's good news because I need to factor it into the budget later in the year. Between this sale and Sonoma next month (I'm stopping by Hanzell based on your recommendation!), I'm going broke!

Don't forget that Berserkers taste for free there!

...from Lake Forest you can walk to Brig's house, but his address is classified.

There's a lot of local stuff that happens in South County, and we'd be happy to see a new face(s). You can easily avoid Todd if pinot and syrah will be featured, since he doesn't drink those varieties any more.

I'm hoping you're being serious because that's some serious dough! I live very close to Irvine, can make it to Laguna Beach in about 25 minutes and Hi-Time in about 30 minutes and would be happy to hang out and meet new friends.

Bite me!

I'm trying to listen to my people. We've got at least 25 Pinot offerings and plenty of Rhone for those of us who love it..

BerserkerDay IX Master Thread/FAQ (Please Read) T MINUS 2 DAYS!

#99 Post by Todd F r e n c h » January 25th, 2018, 9:04 pm

I'm gonna head upstairs and read myself to sleep, try to get rest after this stressful day of last-minute additions, changes, questions, and adjustments galore. It's the fun of BerserkerDay, and this one is gonna be fantastic, wow.

If you need something of me before tomorrow at probably 8:30 am, I won't be able to help. Be sure to check this thread and the other BerserkerDay thread in Wine Talk in case your questions have already been answered in one of the threads.

I will be dropping my daughter at school early in the morning, will remove the 20-something Subscribers who waited until the very last second to renew (or not), then open up the Pre-Launch forum to Subscribers, and, within that forum, the subforum of Early Purchase Offers, where Subscribers can buy to their heart's content prior to BerserkerDay, Saturday (starting around 7:30 am). Once the Pre-Launch forum (and Early Purchase Offers subforum) are opened, I'll send a PM to all Subscribers, so you know it's time (if you aren't already on the forum complaining that it's not available yet).

Then, and only then, I'll maybe have some time to look at the offers this year in detail, as I haven't had any time to do so. I, like you, will be making plans...

EDIT: Last thing...the auctions this year are probably the best ever. So much to look forward to, truly.

How will we know when the Preview Day offerings are live? Will you post a new thread announcing it?
Paul
