Santa Fe Chicken Soup with Tamales and Zinfandel

Tonight’s dinner was Santa Fe Chicken Soup with added chicken broth and chopped turkey breast. It was accompanied with green chile chicken and red chile pork tamales, a half a tamale each. Beverage was 2001 Ridge Buchignani Ranch Zinfandel (76% Zin, 23% Carignane, 1% Petite Sirah) - rich dark berry fruit, adequate acidity, with a medium long berry fruit finish. It was very good with the soup and tamales.

Then for dessert we had pistachio and dark chocolate gelati with Dulce de Leche and Dark Chocolate sauces; accompanied by small snifters of dark rum for Carollee and brandy for me.
