Grappa with Apple & Pear

Last night we picked up a new grappa at Susan’s after the wine tasting. It was a CiVidina Grappa di Vitigini made by Bepi Tosolini. We tried it after dinner with a ripe Bosc pear and a crisp Pink Lady apple, while watching the practice for the Melbourne Formula 1 Race (via TiVo). It was good with both the pear and the apple. It was neither hot nor harsh. It had a light, indistinct fruit flavor with no sense of petrol; not great, but enjoyable to drink.
