I have some leftover of high-quality Feta cheese from Lesbos, so time for this soul-food from Finland by the food-blogger Jenni Häyrinen „Liemessä“.
This recipe Uunifetapasta or baked-feta pasta published in 2019 caused Feta-shortages in Finland. In 2020 this recipe went viral at TikTok and social media in general around the world. But also on the food-sections of famous newspapers. Here are the ingredients:
I also make this dish to use my Sage/Breville „Pizzaiolo“ for other things besides Pizza, as the oven has a mode to roast vegetables at 400 C or 800F. A roasting pan with removable handle is included with this oven.
Ingredients
300-450g pasta
200g greek feta cheese
500-600g cherry tomatoes
1 bunch basil
1/2 perperoncino
olive oil
3-4 cloves garlic (optional)
Preparation
- Put feta cheese, tomatoes and halved garlic cloves in a baking dish. Chopped perperoncino on top of the cheese and drizzle with a good dash of olive oil. Add salt. Put in the Breville “Pizzaiolo” for 10min by 400 C or 800 F. Or in the pre-heated oven for 15min by 200C or 400 F. Also cook the pasta.
- Remove from the Breville. Or adjust the heat on 220 C incl. grill for 10min in your oven.
3. Combine it with the cooked pasta. Add basil.
4. Finally add black pepper and maybe a bit olive oil. ENJOY
