California bagels

No frosted blueberry ones, here.

I can’t wait to see the New Yorkers here get their feathers all ruffled up over this!

My daughter went to Boichik right after it opened. She’s had many, many real NY bagels and thought Boichik was just OK. For non-NY bagels she much prefers New York Bagel & Bakery in Las Vegas and my local place (here in South OC) Bagels & Brew. YMMV.

I used to work with a guy whose family owned LA’s Brooklyn Bagel Bakery which supplied many of the best area delis back in the day. He always said the difference was mostly in the boiling process but some in the type of oven.

Nice, I was there last week.

Woof. Have had many bagels in California and they have never held a candle to Brooklyn Bagel or even Murray’s.

I think the reviewer has Covid. No sense of smell or taste.
