Quick Flannery question

#1 Post by Alan Eden » July 2nd, 2019, 7:14 pm

I received some ribeyes today and while they were cold to the touch they were not frozen and did not appear to have been frozen. I had them shipped out overnight but they sat on my porch for approx 3 hours in 92 degrees. The ice packs were still frozen

So are these shipped chilled but unfrozen or should they have been frozen ?

The steaks are shipped fresh. Some other items (ex. skirt) are shipped frozen.

FWIW, I ship mine 2nd Day Air in warm months (I try to avoid the 100+ days of late June through early Sept.) and they have always ended up still nicely chilled by the time I open the box. Never an issue.

They usually state on the web-site "shipped frozen" otherwise it's shipped not frozen. Most are shipped not frozen.

What should I wear? [cheers.gif]

I use 2nd day air in cool months but I went for overnight priority on this order.
