What to do with organic virgin coconut oil?

Big family party. Son is making desserts and asked me to get this. At Costco with no time to shop so I bought the industrial size. What can I do with the industrial size minus two cups? Looks like Crisco, which I thought had the Nobel Prize in artery clogging.

Do we still have an NSFW forum?

In all seriousness… make a buttload of popcorn?

Cooking, frying, smoothies (& popcorn for the win). Apart from when I make fries re-using the same frozen tub of peanut oil, we only use coconut or Grapeseed for all our cooking needs. Used to use some EVOO, but now never heat it.

We have the same tub and go through it within a year to 15 months.

I think you can substitute coconut oil for butter or other oils.
We have used it for pancake and waffle batter, oatmeal raisin cookies, and chocolate chip cookies.

I have also used it when frying meat or vegetables with a curry paste for Thai curry.

I use for frying.

I also like to use it when I want to impart some coconut flavor into a dish and don’t want to add coconut milk.

Ummm…ahhh…oh, screw that.

I used to use it with water to make dairy free oatmeal. Results were surprisingly good. Particularly good cold as ‘overnight oats’.

Adds a tropical touch if you put a couple drops on pancakes and as the griddle oil
Make a soup and add alongside ginger, bay leaf and lime for a little thai kick

I use it to keep the seasoning on my cast iron pans
