A source for Laguiole knives/cutlery?

#1 Post by George Hejna » November 10th, 2018, 4:37 pm

Looking to purchase these. Would prefer natural material handles. There are so many out there and price/quality seems to vary dramatically.

Does anyone have a good source? I do not want low quality or imitation.

Thanks,

George

Laforet makes great Lagouile knives. I believe Lagouile is a place and there are many artisan companies.

Jeff Pfohl

Met Jeff personally and I think he is a board member. I have been satisfied with what he gets me, I just saw he ran knifes and sets on his inventory

The ones made by Laguiole-en-Aubrac are very good. About 2 years ago, we did a quick tour of the factory in Laguiole and were impressed. Looks to be available locally when I googled.

While walking around the town then, we noticed all kinds of products for sale everywhere that were made by many different factories and most were much cheaper, but of suspect qualities, than the ones by Laguiole-en-Aubrac.
