Best Place to Purchase Loose English Tea in NYC or Online

Recently returned from England where I had a pot of Earl Grey tea that my wife and I thought was especially outstanding. We were in such a tea stupor that we neglected to ask what type of Earl Grey tea we were drinking. Anyone have suggestions on where to buy superb loose English tea in New York City or online?

Thanks.

I usually buy from Upton, TeaGschwender (which has a Darjeeling 2nd flush I love and am anxiously awaiting the 2018 version of to become available) and Lupicia (for green tea, esp. their Sakurambo Vert)

I used to have American Tea Room on that list for their milk oolong before they closed.

Peter,
Also check out https://us.palaisdesthes.com/. Based in Paris, they have shops in Europe and a mailorder location in New Jersey. I think their teas are very good.

I also like Adagio. https://www.adagio.com/

Porto Rico Import in the Village carries many teas.

Harney and Sons, Broome Street, Soho.

Thanks for the suggestions. Look like good ideas.

One more thought since you’re specifically looking for Earl Grey. Williams Sonoma carries the Fortnum & Mason Earl Grey tea. Online definitely and at least last year I think they had it in the Times Warner Center store.

I picked up a tin but haven’t tried it yet.

Thanks Jay. Will check it out.

Finally tried it last week. Recommended - it has a very full deep flavor to it along with a lovely bergamot nose.
