After a Google search it seems as though these exist. What is one that you know of or have that you would recommend?

A Bonavita kettle, a decent grinder, a V60 and some ice cubes… 
It is a high school graduation present request. I had thought of your exact suggestion for the hot portion.
For the cold portion, I have been using the Hario Cold Brew Wine Bottle with good success. Cheap and easy to clean.
Thanks and that makes sense for a college dorm or apartment.
