Dining in Maui?

See an older thread but wanted to see if anyone had any updated recs for Maui. Going there for first time at end of month for 7 days.

Staying at Ritz but will have car and love to explore so driving isn’t an issue.

So far we have Mamma’s Fish House as a must from several friends, other spots? Thanks in advance. T

Star Noodle in Lahaina.

Sensei Sushi near the Ritz if very good, but also very busy.

Totally not fancy, but if you’re in for a local plate:

Really enjoyed this place https://hgsmaui.com and https://www.malaoceantavern.com

Was disappointed with the Lahaina Grill, food was stupidly expensive (even for Maui) and not that great.

Done. Literally want everything on the menu…

Thanks for both, look good. I’ve heard similar about Lahaina Grill, seems it has had better days…

Kapalua: Cane and Canoe at the Montage (down the road from the Ritz) is good as is Merriman’s (a bit further down the road). I like Sansei as already noted above. They have another location in Kehei, too.

Lahaina: Honu (Mala’s sister restaurant and next door neighbor) is one of my favorite restaurants in Maui.

In Wailea: The Restaurant at Hotel Wailea is excellent. Gannon’s is good. Monkeypod is fun for lunch.

Other: I really wanted to try Nuka but didn’t make it on my last trip. I had a wonderful lunch at The Mill House at Maui Tropical Plantation.

Enjoy your trip - Maui is awesome!

Prison St. Pizza in Lahaina for something a little more relaxed and local. Tons of ice cold beer in tubs for you to choose from, as well!

For a very casual lunch we loved Leilani’s in Whaler Village. Their fish tacos are excellent!

Thanks,
Ed

Oh yeah, if you are up for pizza, Flatbread in Paia was really good. They do have local specialty pizzas:
