Alan, I haven’t been there in awhile, but there’s a cool spot to eat and hang out at the Drake Hotel which is west of downtown on King Street. Lots of little restaurants, pubs, etc. Let us know where you land.
I assume the focus is on restaurants which carry a good selection of 2013 Cabs on their wine list?
Where are you staying?
If you’re in the central core and you want casual, good food, and a good wine list, here are two recommendations:
Richmond Station - you can order a la carte, but I’d recommend the chef’s tasting menu. It’s one of the usual hangouts for many of the Toronto wine crew. It’s a few doors west of Yonge Street, on Richmond.
Or for a classic French bistro, try Le Select on Wellington, just west of Spadina.
Just two quick suggestions, but you won’t go wrong with either. There are plenty of other great options. The restaurant scene in Toronto is terrific.
