I want to give everyone who ordered an update on products.
I will divide it out by products and shipments.
Shipment 1 2017 EVOO, 2016 Viji, 2016 Rose, a variety of Reds, Don Miguel and the Sparkling Wines.
My first container was delayed in the Mediterranean due to weather for several days. It is finally due to arrive and I will unload it tomorrow morning. https://www.msc.com/track-a-shipment
(container# tcnu7902846) If you want to track it with me
I was not able to get the Modena label approved by the Italian government until just two weeks ago. They are bottling and printing the labels. As soon as the producer gets it to my winery I will be shipping the Modena Vinegar
in a second container…. That is due to depart ideally next week, but manana is a common phrase in Spain and as much as I push, sometimes it doesn't actually help it just gets me more stressed out...
I depart for Spain next week until April 1. If Container #2
has not departed before I leave it should depart shortly thereafter.
#2 will have more Tuna and Sardines, Modena Vinegar, Sherry Vinegar
and another large load of wines
. I will try to keep you posted...
I am shipping air freight, the Iberico Cheese is a little more problematic than the Manchego and I am going to solve it when I get to Spain. I should have both cheeses in early April.
, I am unraveling a mess that the producer in Spain encountered with our USDA FSIS Labeling division. Bleh! Apparently he sent in all his labels to be approved via hard copy... the jamons would be petrified by the time the labels would be approved. I reached out to the Director of the LPDS- OPPD-FSIS-USDA and she has actually assigned three deputies to review the labels and help me navigate the approval. It's all done digitally, so I am really making progress. Just the Nutrition Facts alone has been a logistical nightmare... I am hoping that the labels will get approved with in the next week to two weeks and then we ship... They will be shipped air freight, so, pending no issues it could be early April...but please continue to be patient.
