Image

(will ship Spring, 2014 to cold weather locations - applicable tax will be added)

The first offering for our new premium AVA designated wine series, this wine will be released in the Fall at $85.00/bottle. As a special for Berserkers Day, we are pre-releasing a limited number of 3-packs at the special price of $190.00 including ground shipping - a 30% discount!

Here’s some info on the wine:

Our AVA wines will be limited releases from special vineyards and/or special barrel lots – they are additional premium offerings to our core wines and will only be produced when special barrels/lots stand out so brilliantly from the rest, they warrant their own bottling.

The fruit for our 2011 Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon comes from a vineyard located on Oakville Cross Road in the heart of Oakville. Owned by the O’Shaughnessy Family, the vineyard is adjacent to Groth and Plumpjack and just down the road from Rudd. We only produced a few barrels of this wine and we bottled a few outstanding lots for this AVA offering. The wine is 94% cabernet sauvignon and 6% malbec, and was aged 22 months in French Oak.

A stunning wine – it has all the elements… structure, nicely balanced, medium weight, silky tannins and a long finish. Deep purple in the glass and an expressive nose and mouth (layered with dark cherry, currants, coffee and some cocoa). Balanced and delicious, the wine has the stuffing and backbone to age gracefully - for those without patience a 90+ minute decant works well for this youngster.

We are often asked "what's the Jean Edwards Cellars wine style?" Our wines are full-flavored yet not over the top - wines you will want to enjoy with a great meal and with good wine friends (but you'll want to keep the bottle at your end of the table).

To order and view additional details on ordering please use link and login information above.

Thanks for your continued support! [cheers.gif]

Ordered a 3 pack last night, ordered directly from Jean Edwards in the fall. Love their cabs, and they're a great value as well!

I was in yesterday. Fell in love with Karen's wines as a result of last year's BerserkerDay. Can't wait to try these (although I will try to hold off for a little while). I will just have to store these along side the 2007 Stagecoach Cabs for defense.

Sorry for the delay in responding - it's been a great (but hectic) day.... Thank you so much for your kind words about our wines. If you can't wait to open one, give it a nice lengthy decant and it will open up nicely - although the 07's are drinking nicely too. [cheers.gif]

First I would like to say THANK YOU so much for all the orders on Sunday and Monday. This was our fourth Berserkers day - thank you all for the tremendous response! As you can imagine it was pretty hectic yesterday so we will be sending out remaining order confirmations today. I also want to send special thanks to Todd!

West coast orders will start processing this week. Pretty much all remaining orders will not be processed as its too cold to ground ship. When we do open up shipping to your area we will notify you in advance. If you need the wine quickly let us know (and we will work with you on options and pricing).
