Um...that's precisely what is typically offered on BerserkerDay! 10-15% of our offers are from unknowns, and with a great offer presented, there's no better way for a winery to be 'discovered'!! Look at past BerserkerDays as an example!!
I'm in. In case you didn't already know. Will be doing 2 offers. [cheers.gif]

Ok - all those who have expressed interest via PM or on this thread (PM is preferred, btw, as I might miss some on this thread) should have been added to the BerserkerDay V Participants forum, which is a private forum for those who are making offers on BerserkerDay. You'll see in that forum some topics on starting to create your listing, etc.

3 dozen participants already, most with multiple offers...

Still collecting offers, folks. Currently over 40...

If you want to be included, PM or email me and I'll add you to the BerserkerDay V Participants pre-launch forum, where you can start creating your offer in a thread of your own, which I will then move to the live forum on BerserkerDay

Ok, gotta ask, did you get made fun of at all when you were a kid? and if so, was it more for "destiny" or "dudley"?

Curiosity only Todd, but is there a bar above which the offer has to be?
i.e. if some online site frequently offers 10% off/free shipping.. and they offered the same, is that permitted? or some winery offers 5% off et..
Basically, are the offers scrubbed/vetted before they go out? or anything goes and market determines success?
Purely a theoretical question and does not relate to any specific past offers.
cheers

I do not vet offers, as it is up to the participant to determine their own, but rest assured, those offers that are more desirable always get more action! [snort.gif]

As I go over 50 participating wineries/retailers, I wanted to be sure to let everybody know of a couple pre-BerserkerDay ideas I'm throwing around:

1) Ramp up virtual tasting of past BerserkerDay deals. I will most definitely do this, after the next Virtual Tasting is completed, we'll all post notes of our previous BerserkerDay buys. Should be fun, and a great reminder why this day is such a tremendous time for the whole community

2) Berserkies - remember those? Anyone interested in some casual awards, for best post, worst avatar, biggest ass-kisser, whatever? I'd need someone to head up the charge, and maybe recruit a small committee to go find 'POTY' type awards, and others, and throw out some Berserkies throughout the day, to add to the fun.

Todd, when you do the VTS following week 8, here is a CT link people can hit to see there purchases from last year, 2013. Just copy the link and change the year to 2012, 2011, etc. you can put this in your original post starting the thread for the VTS.

It'll make it easy for people to find bottles they purchased on January 27th of the year.

I always add Berserker Day Special to the purchase notes, but list the winery that offered. I could well change that like if I bought from a store.

I will exercise Ray Walker's proxy to nominate The Klapper!

Or, if like me, you list a store as "Berserker Day" in CT for where you purchased the wines this link will be even better and all year encompassing. https://www.cellartracker.com/list.asp? ... e=Purchase

Great idea! [thumbs-up.gif]
I use the same for mine, as the 'store', but I spell it correctly, as one word neener

I've done it as BerserkerDay https://www.cellartracker.com/list.asp? ... 5fe8f7f263

And BerserkerDay Special https://www.cellartracker.com/list.asp? ... c4bba2b71c
If you feel like you have to go all Merriam Webster on me you need the drop the capital d and spell it Berserkerday Mr. Smarty Pants Mod :p

I'm ready to crown my BD All Star successor! I just made the lists for R-M and Rhys, plus Kutch and Sojourn all at the same time right before BD V! It's going to be an expensive month!

Ha! I'm not sure I'd get anyone to buy it, what with no track record or anything.
I'll be happy to pop and pour my Random Wine Co Petit Verdot and Tempranillo, if you replace them after I post a note to Cellartracker. neener

Just an update to any ITBers or even individuals who'd like to donate. We're always looking for fun bottles, foods, experiences, or whatever to auction off. If you have any fun ideas and want to contribute, please reach out to me. Thanks!

The virtual tasting series for the next 10 days is sponsored by our fearless leader and the theme is tasting notes on wines you've purchased from past berserkerdays. See the sticky thread at the top of wine talk for details.

I just pulled two bottles for Friday night home made pizza. flirtysmile
