Best system for glycol/temperature regulation on tanks

I’ve got 12 tanks that will need temperature control. In the past I have used a grainger solenoid valve attached to a computerized zytron box where I could set high and low temps. I really only need to set max temps for fermentation and cold stabilize in the off season. What’s the most elegant/cost effective solution that people have found? …the system I have been using costs about $550/tank for materials plus getting someone to wire it.

Hi Ian,

I’ve been using a combination of Asco solenoids and Ranco stats for years. It’s a little over $100 for the stat and I’m remembering about $70 for the solenoids. I’ve wired a few of the stats myself, but it goes way faster when I have a refrigeration specialist do it. Let me know if you need model numbers, I can write them down.

Ed,
Model numbers would be huge. $170/tank sounds a lot better than what I’ve got going on. Drop a line when you’re coming down to the SLH. We’re right on the way.
