Alternative Packaging

Been witnessing an increasing number of wineries that are experimenting with alternative packaging methods like canned wines or premium boxed wines. In fact, I saw that wineries like Tablas Creek and Really Good Boxed Wine are selling premium wine in boxes for $60+. Interested to hear if there are any other producers considering these alternative packaging formats for some or all of their future harvest.

To my understanding benefits include better unit economics, cheaper than glass to produce and ship, and easier to sell DTC.

Interesting concept indeed - but I think you need the right type of wine and the right following to be as successful as folks like Tablas . . .

Cheers
