I’m considering buying a Magitec 15 destemmer/crusher from Ken Volk. They claim it is very gentle and kicks 0 jacks into the must. Anyone have any experience with these? I’m just trying to get an unbiased opinion on this one.

I’d be curious to hear what folks have to say, too. In my (incredibly limited) experience jacks were variable based on what exactly was being destemmed. I’d have to wonder if zero-no-matter-what is doable for all varieties and if the method of destemming is different or if they have some fancy catch or filter for jacks.
This model has square holes in the rotating basket, followed by a fold away crusher with adjustable nylon rollers, and the motor is variable speed. It was purchased and used at Byron for the Pinot program. Ken says he’s been happy with it, but is moving on to a larger model.
Square holes? Hmmm.
