Flex Tanks

Flex Tanks seem to offer superior performance and allow excellent control of variables. That said, they are plastic tanks and probably don’t mesh with most peoples romantic vision of winemaking. We will have a downtown winery/tasting room and while I’m excited about the performance of the tanks, I’m apprehensive about how patrons may view them. Does anyone have experience/input regarding public perception of wine produced in Flex Tanks?

We use plastic fermentors at winery primary for blending and fermenting (open tops) small lots. They do not look as cool but are very modle and get the job done. You might want to look around for used poly-tanks 275 & 330 gallons. They are used for food grade transportation of liquids. They can be as cheep as 1/5 of the name brand flex tanks and have fittings or are adaptable for fittings.
