Blending with Andy Erickson or Pinot Tasting?

I’m trying to decide between two wine tastings in NYC next week and was curious what you all would choose (not affiliated with either). Which event would you choose and why?

Option 1) Wine Blending with Andy Erickson, blend wine similar to his Leviathon and try his 2009 Leviathon, 2 Favia reds, and a 2008 Dancing Hares.

Option 2) Pinot Palooza -

Join us in celebrating this noble grape and taste Pinots from wineries including:
Copain
Godme Pere & Fils
Brewer Clifton
Domaine d’Angerville
Hermann J. Wiemer
Stadlmann
Merry Edwards
Bethel Heights
Gothic
Melville
Robert Sinsky
Domaine Pierre Gelin

I am not a huge fan of New World wines. But, there was a time when I was buying lots of them from mail order and Fritz from Arrietta set up a private tasting for my now wife and I when I was visiting Napa. Andy is a great, great guy. He was nothing but kind. Very informative, and quite down to earth. I don’t love that he is the winemaker to all the cults of Cali, but I would say that time spent with him is time well spent, and he is very nice and accessible.
