wine storage unit

I’ve seen a few of the older posts regarding wine refrigeration but I have not seen any mention of either Transtherm or Dometic brands. I’d like to go for a Eurocave which seems to be the gold standard but we really want stainless steel and that is much more costly in the Eurocave models.

Electrolux had a similar model to the Dometic but it is now discontinued so it makes me a little nervous.

Thanks for any help.

Tony - I saw an owner post a positive for transtherm “Bastide” over on the GardenWeb at … Wine Refrigerator . To get additional info you should ask the appliance sales business to provide referrals for you to contact. Secondly, I would ask the manufacturer to list service companies in your area that would perform in and out of warranty work which you can followup with to get reliability info. If the Eurocave panels are easy to replicate at low cost by a local metal fabricator that might be an option. BTW I own 2 Eurocaves and have been very pleased with them. Good luck…Gary

Sounds like some good advice. Thanks for the info.
