Newb Question. Tips on where to sell wine/port online?

#1 Post by EileenC » April 9th, 2019, 12:15 pm

Sorry for the amateur query but I have a bottles of "nice" port and red wine I'm simply not drinking as much anymore. Any tips on where/how to sell?

Thanks!

Eileen, once you get your post count up, you could try and sell them on ‘Commece Corner’ here. Alternatively, auction houses like Winebid are the only legal approach for you, but to get the best terms, it will depend on what you have, and the total value of your wines. Most auction houses look for a minimum value to make it worth their while or to give you lower commission rates.

Vinfolio and "here" I'd guess. Winebid too as mentioned above. All of that for a "few bottles" or cases.

If you have a "moderate or more" amount to sell (a few cases plus of valuable stuff) then you can check with someone like Vinfolio or Benchmark to buy the lot.

I've had success with marketplaces such as K&L wines auction house. Though, I store my personal collection with them, too.
