How high can you safely stack full OWC's ?

While rearranging my cellar, I have some OWC's stacked 6 high. Curious what people feel is safe.
Cheers!

I don't know what the limits are but on a level concrete floor, I have had stacks of 8-10 for years without issue. For most of my stacks, I go with 4-5 wood and then use flat cardboard cases for the rest to up about 10. Mostly do that to make the top boxes a bit lighter when I go to move them than anything else.

If you know what you're doing, 8-10 high even with open, partially empty uniform size OWC's is ok.

As high as I can safely get them down. About 8 or so.

Colorado gets earthquakes, so I wouldn't stack more than 3 or 4 high unless they are secured in some way.

Six to seven is my comfort level, but I have had a row at nine for about six months now with zero issues. I do feel like I am pushing my luck though... At least Scott Claffee's stuff is on top of some of them.

Good point. I should have said that I am in Chicago and so there is some risk but not like elsewhere in the US.

I‘ve done 6, 8 and 10 cases without any incident for over 30 years.

There’s a major retailer (biggest on the east coast) where they stack 12 maximum regularly.
Of course there constantly moving stock.

Cheers
