While it's been 99% in person trades. I can say with 100% assurance that ANY trade with Doug Schulman is going to be fair and reasonable.

Big thanks to Brad Ballinger for sending 12 cans of Abrasive my way. Trade was only complicated by the Polar Vortex that delayed both of us shipping beer to the other. Damn mother nature!

Trade with confidence.

Dang! I felt lucky to get my hands on 8 cans when I was there for Thanksgiving. They are, of course, all long gone by now. So delicious!!!

And thanks to Matt for the mixed case of 3F, Half Acre, Revolution, Spiteful, and Upland. Probably opening the 3F Christmas porter tonight.

He also included enough for Charlie, who should get his today.

Right on Chris!!!

Picked up a shipment from Ryan Kilkenny today. Ryan and ai were sitting on our respective shipments for two to three weeks waiting for warm enough weather. His package arrived in goos shape, 3F, Half Acre, and Pipeworks. Can't wait.

Got my package from Nolan! I think I found the perfect trading partner. Nolan likes sours which I'm not a fan of and I have access to limited Bruery stuff as well as other west coast sour producers. I love BBA stouts and Nolan has access to some great ones that aren't distro'ed to SoCal.

Great trade again.

Looking to trade some beers, but I don't quite see how that works here.

I am mostly looking for hard to find stouts and barleywines from the east coast or midwest, but I'll certainly consider any really good beer.

Anyway, I have these:

2009 The Abyss
2010 The Abyss
2009 Mirror Mirror
2014 Mirror Mirror
Black Butte XXI
Black Butte XXIII
Black Butte XXIV
Black Butte XXV
2013 Mother of All Storms
2007 Doggy Claws
2008 Doggy Claws
2009 Doggy Claws
2010 Doggy Claws
2011 Doggy Claws
2012 Doggy Claws
2013 Doggy Claws
SIerra Nevada 30th Anniversary Fritz and Ken's Ale (Stout)
Sierra Nevada 30th Anniversary Jack and Ken's Ale (Barleywine)

I also found some Life and Limb when I was fishing some wine out of the back of the cellar. Not sure when I bought it, and didn't intend to age it, so I'll be curious to see how/if it held up.

Send a pm if you are interested.

I haven't started trading yet, but I'd love to get some Richmond-area beers into the hands of beer lovers across the country. If anyone is interested in getting some
Hardywood,
Lickinghole Creek,
Center of the Universe, or
Williamsburg Alewerks

I can also try to find anything else east coast based that you might be looking for, there's a great community of bottle shops and beer fans in RVA. In return, I'm looking for beers and whiskies that don't make it to the east coast.

I guess ageable beers that don't show up in the DC/Va/NC area, where my main shopping occurs. But I wouldn't turn down some Heady Topper if it was offered. I've found I don't drink beer as often as I do wine or bourbon, but when I do, I enjoy a nice silky stout or something that is an exemplary beer of its style. To get an idea of what I like, I'm a big Founders, Bells, and Avery fan, and basically haven't met a Dogfish Head that I like. I'd be interested in Evil Twin Imperial Doughnut Break, because I was a big fan of the Imperial Biscotti which has been my favorite beer of the year so far. Worst beer? Duclaw Sweet Baby Jesus.

I live in British Columbia and am a 10 minute drive from Washington State. I have a shipping address in WA which I've used for receiving wine from wineries. I've been into craft beer for about 5 years now (and still wine of course) and just discovered this thread. I'm interested in trading for some brews that are not available in Washington or BC.

I haven't done this before and am not sure where to start?

Hi Hal,

Welcome to the board! [cheers.gif]

Best way to start is to post a thread saying the kind of stuff you're looking for, and/or the stuff you'd have to trade. I'd also recommend chiming-in on some different threads --- with only 10 posts to your name thus far, folks here don't know you yet. I could be wrong, but I believe folks tend to trade with folks who've been around a while and/or folks that they know, so jump in to some other threads so we can all get to know each other! :)

Not that he needs another endorsement, but I just completed a trade with T1m F@1tsch, and T1m was excellent for his part. Good communication. tracking number. excellent packaging.

trade with confidence.

Thanks, Tim!

Beer Trading Feedback

#150 Post by Moy Emrick » January 12th, 2015, 7:47 pm

Hey everyone. I'm a craft beer enthusiast, but first passion was wine. Never really knew anything about wine other than I liked some and others not so much. Hoping to learn some good stuff here.
